Event Details

Local entrepreneurs will pitch their businesses for a chance to win more than $1,500 and business training at Startup SOUP. 

Each entrepreneur, hand picked by a panel of expert judges, will have five minutes to present their business and field questions from the crowd. Attendees then enjoy soup, discuss the businesses and vote for their favorite. 

Winner receives:
  • $1,500 donated by Hennessey Capital and Huntington Bank
  • Door kitty 
  • Five workshop vouchers from TechTown

Startup SOUP provides an entrepreneurial twist on the established, highly-popular crowd-funding model. To host the event, TechTown has partnered with Detroit SOUP, a micro-granting dinner that funds creative projects in Detroit. 


 

 Through its partners and programs, TechTown connects small businesses to the customers, talent, capital and location necessary to build a thriving enterprise in Southeast Michigan
